The time has come...

Remember last year?

Seems like it was such a long time ago.

We were well on our way to collecting thousands of petitions from Ontario PC Party members in order to call a Special General Meeting before the 2018 election.

But the Take Back Our PC Party campaign was derailed.

I was forced to defend against a "frivolous" and "vexatious" lawsuit that a judge ruled was a "SLAPP" - an attempt to silence me and limit my ability to participate in the political process.

I won the lawsuit.

Then our PC Party was thrust into a leadership race that was dominated by the themes of the Axe The Carbon Tax and Take Back Our PC Party campaigns.

With Doug Ford as PC leader and a commitment to Axe the Carbon Tax, our PC Party won a thunderous majority!

But we never did get around to calling that Special General Meeting.

Well, now that time has come.

The Ontario PC Party's next General Meeting has been scheduled for November 16 - 18, 2018 at the Toronto Congress Centre. Click this link to visit the convention website.

Finally, the time has come to correct the culture of corruption that took hold of our Ontario PC Party.

It is up to us - PC Party members - to clarify what it means to be a member of our PC Party. And to clarify the role of the PC executive and the PC leader, under the PC constitution.

And we have to do it now.

We can't wait for the next General Meeting.

That's why I am proposing five constitutional amendments for consideration at the PC convention.

But in order to do so, I need 10 Ontario PC Party members from 5 different ridings to endorse them.

Here are my first two ideas:

1. All Ontario PC Party members shall have the right to a paper ballot in any future PC leadership race.

2. There shall be no Ontario PC Party memberships paid for by cash or through the use of a pre-paid credit card.

I think these two ideas are important.

We all remember the last PC leadership race that resulted in hundreds of party members across Ontario being refused the right to vote because they never got a ballot. The entire situation ended up in court just days before convention.

This can never happen again.

And what about all of those "fake" PC memberships?

Amending the PC constitution to forbid purchasing memberships with cash or with a pre-paid credit card will make it harder for illegitimate memberships to be submitted to the party.

These are just two of the proposals I want to put forward.

In my next email I will let you know my other three proposed constitutional amendments.

If I send you a form, would you consider signing and endorsing my constitutional proposals?

I not only need you to endorse my proposals, I also need you to attend the PC convention as a delegate.

From now until the General Meeting, local PC Party riding associations across Ontario will be holding meetings to select their delegates.

You should get a notice of this meeting by e-mail.

But if you don't, you can always see the full list of local delegate selection meetings by visiting this link

We can't allow this upcoming General Meeting to pass without sending a strong message - the days of corrupting the democratic governance of our Ontario PC Party is over.

So, what do you think?

Is it time to finally Take Back Our PC Party?

Let me know.
